Get Nasal Release Technique (NRT) from a Certifeid Teaching Asstant in San Marino, CA
“I just cannot believe the way that I am breathing... I cannot put it into words... I'm just loving the results... I can breathe through both nostrils like I've never had since I was 18 and 20 years old.” -AO.
Potential Indications for NRT:

- Post-Concussion Syndrome
- Chronic Fatigue
- Fibromyalgia
- PTSD
- Sleep Apnea
- Snoring
- Migraines
- Headaches
- TMJD
- Vertigo
- Poor Vagal Tone / low Heart Rate Varability (HRV)
- Unresolved pressure in ears, mechanically related
- Other head injuries
- Other breathing disorders
- Other balance issues
- Other Cranial Nerve (CN) related issues
Nasal Release Technique (NRT) is a powerful structural technique that adjusts the bones of the skull. This was developed by Dr. J. R. Stober of Portland. The procedure uses a small finger cot affixed to an inflatable device which is inserted into the nasal passages. The balloon inflation presses outward against the bones lining the breathing passages and adjusts the sutures of the skull, particularly the sphenoid. This ultimately relieves the forces that have gone into the skull by releasing any impactions in the cranial sutures.
One of the confusions of this therapy are the multitude of names for it—Balloon Rhinoplasty, Endonasal Technique, Cranial Facial Release, Nasal Cranial Release, Bilateral Nasal Specific Technique, Functional Cranial Release, and Neurocranial ReStructuring Nasal Specific Technique. These have all been used to describe the procedure.
We received our training through Cindy Stein and passion for helping others effectively heal from concussions. This is a wonderful adjunct and a beautiful marriage to what patients and clients are already getting with CranioSacral Therapy (CST), Functional Manual Therapy® (FMT), and Visceral Manipulation (VM) to get complete healing and recovery.
This is not for everyone. But if it is for you, you will enjoy all of the benefits and results that come from this quick and powerful modaility.

How NRT Can Blend With Our Other Approaches
Functional Manual Therapy® (FMT)
Cranial and facial restrictions can directly affect posture and movement efficiency. By combining Functional Manual Therapy® (FMT) with Nasal Release Technique (NRT), patients often experience markedly improved alignment, breathing, and body mechanics.
Restrictions in the cranial and sinus regions often interfere with nervous system health. Pairing CranioSacral Therapy (CST) with Nasal Release Technique (NRT) can enhance cranial balance, improve lymphatic flow, and improve overall function.
Tension in the organs can influence breathing, cranial pressure, and sinus function. Pairing Visceral Manipulation (VM) with Nasal Release Technique (NRT) supports freer breathing and improved cranial mobility.
Many patients benefit when cranial and facial restrictions are released. Combining NRT with Neural Manipulation (NM) often enhances nerve mobility and supports clearer communication within the nervous system.
New Manual Articular Approach (NMAA)
Joint restrictions in the head, face, or upper spine can affect cranial balance. When combined with Nasal Release Technique (NRT), New Manual Articular Approach (NMAA) can improve both cranial motion and overall structural alignment.
